Ages 6-9
Children studying Kung Fu at Wu Dao will acquire tools and skills to make them stronger, in mind, body, and spirit.
Training in Kung Fu boosts children’s self-esteem. Achieving carefully defined goals, designed to improve coordination and motor skills, helps to build children’s self-confidence while teaching them martial skills to better protect themselves.
At Wu Dao, we strive to develop and foster the ’black belt mentality’ we encourage children to seek non-violent conflict resolution; we teach children and teens the principle that self-control and communication are key to preventing or dealing with confrontation.
Wu Dao’s Children’s and Juniors’ classes are held on different days of the week. Class format consists of basic exercises, drills, and forms work. Young martial artists will have fun while learning martial arts. Material is taught through story telling, demonstrations, and individual training to help enrich the learning experience, ingrain technical material, and instill values of respect and discipline. As your daughter or son improves in her or his martial arts skills, the foundation for respect, kindness, and discipline is laid in such a way as to educate students to use their Kung Fu for their self-improvement.
